The tight end position matters greatly in fantasy football. Tight ends are not as flashy as their route-running counterparts at wide receiver. Most of them do not normally get the same volume of touches as fantasy-relevant running backs. That can sometimes lead to them being overlooked or treated as an afterthought. Do not make that mistake.
The tight end pool is the shallowest of them all in fantasy. Finding production there weekly can be incredibly challenging, especially for those who did not invest in one of the top options during draft season.

One way to find success at the position is by carefully playing the waiver wire week-to-week. The goal of this weekly article is to help fantasy managers do just that by finding low-rostered tight ends in the best situations for that particular week.
Week 14 Fantasy Football Tight End Streamers & Waiver Wire Pickups
The following tight ends are rostered in fewer than 75% of Yahoo! Leagues.
Zach Ertz (TE – WSH) at MIN | 61% Rostered
Did anyone have Zach Ertz leading the league with 10 receptions in Week 13 on their bingo cards? OK, technically, he tied with Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown.
Ertz turned those 10 grabs into 106 yards during the overtime loss to the Broncos, who feature a top-10 passing defense. It was the first 100-yard performance for the ageless tight end since 2019, and he now stands fifth all-time in receptions at the position.

Like Denver, the Vikings present a tough matchup, but opposing tight ends have had some success against them. The Minnesota defense ranks fifth against the pass overall, allowing the second-fewest half-PPR fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers. The unit ranks 18th against tight ends in the same format. Ertz should be able to take advantage.
Brenton Strange (TE – JAX) vs. IND | 32% Rostered
Brenton Strange was a recommendation last week, and it’s back to the well at least one more time before his rostered rate soars even more. Following a five-game absence due to injury, the third-year tight end has quickly reasserted himself as one of Trevor Lawrence‘s main targets, securing eight of his nine targets for 138 yards over the past two weeks. Strange also hit paydirt for the first time this season in Week 13’s easy victory over the Titans.

The Colts are struggling, having dropped three out of four games since a tremendous 7-1 start. The Colts’ pass defense (27th) has been suspect most of the season. In back-to-back losses to the Chiefs and Texans the last two weeks, the Colts have surrendered more than 600 yards through the air. They also allow the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends on the season. Strange is set for another strong effort
Isaiah Likely (TE – BAL) vs. PIT | 5% Rostered
It is always difficult to gauge Isaiah Likely, as he shares depth-chart space with veteran Mark Andrews. On top of that, the Ravens’ run-focused offense keeps the targets sporadic. On the other hand, Likely has shown time and time again that, when given the opportunity, he has the goods to make things happen.
Likely was given that opportunity on Thanksgiving Day against the Bengals. He responded with his biggest game of the season to date, bringing down five of his six targets for 95 yards. Those were all new season highs for the former Coastal Carolina standout.
Could Likely find the end zone for the first time in Sunday’s huge divisional matchup? Well, the Steelers are one of only six teams to allow seven or more touchdowns to the position so far this season.
