NBA DFS Picks & Lineup Advice: Saturday (12/13)

Saturday’s two-game NBA DFS slate features the NBA Cup Eastern and Western Conference semi-finals and locks at 5:30 p.m. ET. Matchups include the New York Knicks versus the Orlando Magic, with a 223.5 game total and a 5.5-point spread in favor of the Knicks, and the San Antonio Spurs against the Oklahoma City Thunder, with a 228.5 total and a 9.5-point spread in favor of the Thunder.

With only two games on the slate, lineup differentiation is crucial, though it’s still important to include the core chalk plays capable of winning. Below are some of the top targets and value options for tonight’s contests.

NBA DraftKings & FanDuel DFS Primer

NBA DFS Core Plays

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (PG – OKC)

  • DraftKings: $10,400
  • FanDuel: $10,700

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has scored at least 20 points in each of his last 96 games and is in an excellent spot to extend that streak tonight. He faces the San Antonio Spurs, who have played at the second-fastest pace over their last five games and rank 18th in defensive efficiency during that span.

While Victor Wembanyama (calf) is expected to return, which may slow the Spurs’ pace, there are still clear defensive lapses to exploit. This matchup also marks one of the few times their full starting unit has been healthy recently, which could create opportunities for Gilgeous-Alexander to take advantage and continue his scoring run.

Jalen Brunson (PG – NYK)

  • DraftKings: $8,700
  • FanDuel: $8,900

Jalen Brunson may be overlooked on a slate with multiple appealing options at the point guard position, but he’s worth considering given his upside and reasonable price tag.

In three games against the Orlando Magic this season, Brunson is averaging 31.3 points, 4.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists. He’s performed well against an otherwise solid defense, and there’s no reason he can’t deliver a similar performance tonight.

NBA DFS Cash Game Targets

Chet Holmgren (PF, C – OKC)

  • DraftKings: $7,600
  • FanDuel: $7,900

Chet Holmgren has been performing at a high level over his last six games, even while limited to 27.1 minutes per contest as the Oklahoma City Thunder continue to dominate opponents. He’s averaging 21.2 points, 8.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.7 blocks, showing consistent production across multiple categories.

Holmgren draws a pretty favorable matchup against the San Antonio Spurs, who have the worst defensive rating on the slate over their last five games. With his efficiency and floor-spacing ability, he has solid upside.

Cason Wallace (PG, SG – OKC)

  • DraftKings: $4,200
  • FanDuel: $4,700

Cason Wallace was limited to 18 minutes in his last game after leaving early due to an undisclosed issue, but he still contributed nine points, four rebounds, two assists and four steals. His defensive impact is a major asset, as he’s totaled nine steals over his last two games and recorded at least two steals in three of his last four contests.

Wallace offers sneaky upside at a great price point and provides solid backcourt value, especially if you’re looking to pay up elsewhere. His ability to contribute across multiple categories makes him a strong cash game option on this slate.

NBA DFS GPP Targets

Victor Wembanyama (PF, C – SAS)

  • DraftKings: $11,000
  • FanDuel: $11,700

Victor Wembanyama (calf) is listed as probable for tonight’s game after missing the last 12 contests for the San Antonio Spurs. Head coach Mitch Johnson expects Wembanyama to come off the bench as an early substitution and play fewer minutes than normal, which naturally limits his value.

Despite the reduced role, Wembanyama remains playable on a small slate with few appealing centers. His upside is massive, making him a tournament option for those willing to take a risk for a potentially slate-breaking performance.

Anthony Black (PG, SG – ORL)

  • DraftKings: $5,400
  • FanDuel: $6,300

Anthony Black’s price continues to climb, and it’s easy to see why. Over his last seven games, he’s averaging 16.1 points, 6.1 rebounds, 4.6 assists and one steal per contest, providing consistent production across multiple categories.

Black has also performed well against the New York Knicks this season, averaging 14 points, five rebounds, 3.7 assists, one block and 1.7 steals across three games, including a double-double in their most recent matchup. Black’s all-around game makes him a strong option on this slate, especially against a familiar opponent.

NBA DFS Value Plays

Jordan Clarkson (PG, SG – NYK)

  • DraftKings: $4,200
  • FanDuel: $4,100

With Miles McBride (ankle) and Landry Shamet (shoulder) sidelined, Jordan Clarkson is set to see an increase in minutes once again. In Tuesday’s matchup against the Toronto Raptors, he logged 26 minutes and finished with 12 points and three rebounds.

While those numbers aren’t eye-popping, the playing time makes him an appealing option. Clarkson is a true microwave scorer — if his shot falls early, he has the potential for a big evening, making him an intriguing value option on this slate.

Tristan da Silva (SF, PF – ORL)

  • DraftKings: $3,800
  • FanDuel: $4,000

With Franz Wagner (ankle) still sidelined, Tristan da Silva is set for increased opportunities. In Tuesday’s game against the Miami Heat, he logged 27 minutes and finished with 11 points, seven rebounds and two assists.

The Magic forward has shown he can produce when given extended minutes, which makes him an appealing value option at his price. His ability to contribute across multiple categories gives him upside for those looking to save while still gaining production.
