NBA DraftKings & FanDuel DFS Primer
NBA DFS Core Plays
- DraftKings: $9,300
- FanDuel: $9,100
With Nikola Jokic (knee) set to miss at least the next four weeks, Jamal Murray is expected to take on a larger offensive role for a Denver Nuggets team dealing with multiple injuries. He was already playing at a high level before Jokic’s injury, averaging 27.4 points, 5.2 rebounds and 8.6 assists over his previous five games.
Murray’s usage and playmaking responsibilities should only increase moving forward, positioning him as the focal point of the offense. That expanded role gives him a significant boost in fantasy appeal, with his production likely trending even higher in Jokic’s absence.
- DraftKings: $9,400
- FanDuel: $9,300
Jalen Brunson has been outstanding over his last three games, tied for fourth in the league at 32 points per game while also averaging 2.3 rebounds and 6.3 assists. His scoring surge and steady playmaking have firmly positioned him as one of the slate’s top guard options.
This matchup carries the second-highest total of the slate at 237.5 points, further boosting Brunson’s fantasy outlook. With the San Antonio Spurs without Devin Vassell (adductor) and potentially missing Stephon Castle (thumb), who is listed as questionable, the Spurs’ backcourt could be significantly shorthanded, allowing Brunson to capitalize on potential defensive lapses.

NBA DFS Cash Game Targets
- DraftKings: $5,100
- FanDuel: $5,000
The Chicago Bulls will be without Coby White (calf) and Josh Giddey (hamstring), setting up the Bulls’ backcourt to carry heavy rostership across all formats, especially given their price points. The absence of both guards opens up significant minutes and usage.
One of the primary beneficiaries is Ayo Dosunmu. He has shown the ability to produce in an expanded role, averaging 16 points, three rebounds and 3.3 assists per game when starting. Even if he does not enter the starting lineup, Dosunmu should serve as the sixth man and still carry upside, as evidenced by his six games of 20+ points this season.
- DraftKings: $4,500
- FanDuel: $5,400
Tre Jones is expected to start at point guard tonight due to the backcourt injuries the Chicago Bulls are dealing with, putting him in a position to take on a significant role. The increased opportunity should allow him to handle the ball more often and contribute on both ends of the floor.
Jones has started 11 games this season and is averaging 13.3 points, four rebounds, 5.5 assists and 2.1 steals in those contests. His ability to produce across multiple categories makes him especially appealing, and his defensive upside adds to his ceiling, as he has recorded at least three steals in six games this season.
- DraftKings: $5,100
- FanDuel: $5,500
Since returning to the floor from an ankle injury four games ago, Bilal Coulibaly has been outstanding. He ranks second on the Washington Wizards in scoring over that span, averaging 15.5 points while also contributing seven rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.3 blocks.
The 21-year-old has emerged as a key offensive contributor and continues to produce across multiple categories. With Kyshawn George (hip) remaining sidelined, Coulibaly should see additional opportunities to produce and maintain his strong fantasy outlook.

NBA DFS GPP Targets
- DraftKings: $8,300
- FanDuel: $8,500
Scottie Barnes recently put together a monster performance against the Golden State Warriors, posting 23 points, 25 rebounds and 10 assists. He followed it up with a solid outing against the Orlando Magic on Monday with 13 points, 11 rebounds and two assists. While he did not quite replicate the eye-popping stat line that took the fantasy world by storm, Barnes’ all-around production remains top-tier.
Barnes is now in an excellent spot to deliver another stellar performance against the Denver Nuggets. Denver ranks dead last in defensive rating over its last five games while also sitting in the top 10 in pace of play, creating an ideal environment for Barnes to stuff the stat sheet once again.
- DraftKings: $4,600
- FanDuel: $5,700
While much of the attention will be on the Chicago Bulls’ backcourt options tonight, one player who stands to benefit significantly from Josh Giddey (hamstring) being sidelined is Matas Buzelis. His role expands noticeably when Giddey is off the floor, giving him more responsibility within the offense.
With Giddey available, Buzelis is averaging 13.7 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 27.1 minutes per game. Without him, those numbers jump to 18 points, 9.5 rebounds and one assist per game. The increased usage and production make Buzelis an especially appealing option at his price on DraftKings, while remaining worth rostering across all daily fantasy sites.
- DraftKings: $5,000
- FanDuel: $5,500
Jordan Poole has had an up-and-down season while adjusting to a new team and managing multiple injuries, but he appears to have found his groove. In December, coming off the bench, he is averaging 16.1 points, 2.1 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.1 steals, showing comfort and efficiency in his new role with the Pelicans.
Poole now draws a favorable matchup against the Chicago Bulls, who rank 25th in defensive rating over their last five games and are dealing with multiple backcourt injuries. Given his recent play and the matchup, he should be well-positioned to capitalize and deliver a strong fantasy performance.

NBA DFS Value Plays
- DraftKings: $4,800
- FanDuel: $5,000
The Denver Nuggets are dealing with a slew of injuries, as Christian Braun (ankle), Aaron Gordon (hamstring) and Cameron Johnson (knee) remain sidelined. Nikola Jokic (knee) has been added to the injury list, forcing the Nuggets to rely heavily on other contributors, including Spencer Jones.
Over his last three games, Jones has been a key presence, averaging 36.1 minutes while posting 14 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.7 steals and 1.3 blocks. His ability to contribute across multiple categories makes him a great option, and he is expected to carry a significant load once again this evening.
- DraftKings: $3,500
- FanDuel: $3,800
Sidy Cissoko is very affordable across all sites tonight, and while his fantasy production has been inconsistent, he presents an intriguing tournament option for those allocating salary to higher-priced players.
With Jerami Grant (Achilles) ruled out and Kris Murray (quad) listed as questionable, Cissoko could see an expanded role. He has demonstrated his upside when given increased opportunities, posting at least 15 points in two games this month. If Murray ultimately sits, Cissoko becomes a punt play to consider in tournaments.
