5 Bold Predictions: NFL Free Agency (2026 Fantasy Football)

With NFL free agency right around the corner, it’s a good time to start thinking about landing spots. This is always unpredictable, so we’re going to make five bold NFL free agency predictions that will have a significant fantasy football impact.

In creating these bold predictions, we’re going to focus on connections to coaches, especially new ones. Coaches who are starting new tenures tend to prefer to bring over players they’re familiar with. Without further ado, let’s get right into my five bold predictions for NFL free agency.

Fantasy Football Bold Predictions: NFL Free Agency

We’re going to prioritize players who can have an impact in fantasy football with these bold predictions.

1. Breece Hallpartner-arrow Tennessee Titans

The Titans currently have $101 million in cap space, which is the most in the NFL. While Tony Pollard was effective for them down the stretch, they could use a game-breaker in the backfield to help out Cam Ward. Why not Breece Hall?

Perhaps Robert Saleh will want to reunite with Hall after coaching him while with the Jets. They certainly have the cap space to make a move like this. It makes sense because they badly need playmakers on offense.

2. Mike Evanspartner-arrow Carolina Panthers

The Buccaneers are currently stacked at wide receiver with Emeka Egbuka, Chris Godwin and Jalen McMillan. It would make sense for them to use some of their resources at other positions. If Mike Evans were to leave Tampa, the Panthers would be a strong fit.

Panthers head coach Dave Canales used to be Tampa Bay’s offensive coordinator. Evans would form an imposing duo with Tetairoa McMillan — two giants on the perimeter. That’s a good way to help Bryce Young take the next step in his development.

3. Kyle Pittspartner-arrow Tampa Bay Buccaneers

It would certainly be a bold move for the Buccaneers to move on from Mike Evans to bring in Kyle Pitts, but a tight end who can win downfield could help out this offense. There’s a connection here, as well.

New Buccaneers offensive coordinator Zac Robinson held the same position with the Falcons for the past two seasons. Perhaps he’ll want to bring Pitts with him. Tight end Cade Otton is also a free agent, so there’s a need.

4. Alec Piercepartner-arrow Los Angeles Rams

Alec Pierce is expected to get a huge contract after an impressive season, where he put up 1,003 yards while averaging 21.3 yards per reception. While there are receiver-needy teams like the Titans and Raiders with a ton of cap space, the Rams would be an intriguing bold move.

Los Angeles needs to be super aggressive this offseason because it could be Matthew Stafford‘s last year. What do they need badly? Speed on offense. Pierce would be a great downfield threat to complement Puka Nacua and Davante Adams. With Adams getting older, Pierce can become the Rams’ No. 2 WR in 2027 and beyond.

5. Rico Dowdlepartner-arrow Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers definitely don’t need a running back with Jaylen Warren and Kenneth Gainwell rostered. However, when you dig deeper, you can see a fit for Rico Dowdle here.

For one, Gainwell is an unrestricted free agent, so there’s a chance he signs elsewhere. Second, new head coach Mike McCarthy worked with Dowdle while with the Cowboys. As more of a big-play threat than Gainwell, Dowdle could be a nice complement to Warren.
