It’s funny how agitated some people in the fantasy community get about leagues that play into Week 18.
“I can’t believe you’re playing fantasy football in a week where all 32 NFL teams are playing football!”
Look, we get it. A lot of teams have ambiguous levels of motivation in the final week of the regular season, and a small handful will bench starters outright in preparation for the playoffs. It’s understandable that people don’t want to hold championship games in Week 18.
Still, we’re not going to cluck our tongues at you for playing fantasy football this week. Maybe your league holds its championship game. Maybe it’s the second leg of a two-week championship. Maybe it’s a toilet bowl championship. Or maybe it’s a Week 18 free-for-all for bonus money.
Whatever the case, I’ve got tiered Week 18 rankings for you. I’ll keep these updated based on injury news and reporting about how some teams with ambiguous motivation plan to deploy their starters (if at all).
For now, realize that the Chargers and Packers are unlikely to play any key starters on offense, the Bills very likely won’t, and the Rams might bench starters early. Here are my fantasy football rankings, tiers and outlook for notable players Week 18.
