Fantasy Baseball Mock Draft: 10-Team, AL-Only (2026)

The MLB season is quickly approaching, with pitchers and catchers beginning to report for spring training. To get ready, I completed a fantasy baseball mock draft using FantasyPros’ Draft Wizard tool.

For my draft slot, I used the randomizer tool and ended up with pick No. 8 for this 10-team AL-only mock draft. This will be a head-to-head, 5×5 categories league. The positions include the following: 1-C, 1-1B, 1-2B, 1-3B, 1-SS, 3-OF, 1-UTIL, 5-Pitchers, and three bench spots. See the full mock draft here.

Fantasy Baseball Mock Draft

1.08: Junior Caminero (3B – TB)

Just 22 years old, Junior Caminero hit .264 with 45 home runs, 110 RBI, and seven stolen bases last season.

2.03: Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (1B – TOR)

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. had his lowest home run total since his first two seasons in the Majors. He still hit .292 with 84 RBI. I think he could bounce back closer to the 30-home run mark. I have two strong corner infielders.

3.08: Jarren Duran (OF – BOS)

Jarren Duran has dealt with injuries, and the Red Sox roster got a bit worse last season with the Rafael Devers trade, but we’ve seen Duran post solid power numbers, including 21 homers in 2024.

In 2025, Duran hit 16 home runs, with 84 RBI and 10 fewer stolen bases compared to 2024. That said, perhaps he’ll take more at-bats as the team’s designated hitter this season, which could help his numbers.

4.03: Kyle Bradish (SP – BAL)

It’s time to lock down my first starter, taking Kyle Bradish. He only had six starts last season, but he put up solid numbers, including a K/9 north of 13. If Bradish can stay healthy, he’ll have a great season.

5.08: Sonny Gray (SP – BOS)

While Sonny Gray isn’t at his 2023 form, he still had over 200 strikeouts while tossing over 180 innings last year. If he can get the ERA to drop down a bit from 4.28 and continue his strikeout prowess, he’ll be solid as a second starter in an AL-only format.

6.03: David Bednar (RP – NYY)

After being traded from the Pirates to the Yankees last season, David Bednar posted a 2.19 ERA with 10 saves across 22 games, along with a 12.8 K/9.

7.08: Lawrence Butler (OF – ATH)

Lawrence Butler played through a right patellar tendon injury last season and underwent surgery in October. In 152 games, he had 21 home runs and 22 stolen bases. With the injury resolved, the hope is that he improves across the board statistically.

8.03: Taylor Ward (OF – BAL)

While Taylor Ward leaves a bit to be desired in the batting average department (.228 last season), he showed some serious pop in his bat, hitting 36 home runs and posting 103 RBI.

9.08: Carlos Rodon (SP – NYY)

Carlos Rodon underwent elbow surgery and may not be back until early May. He notched over 200 strikeouts across 195 innings while going 18-9 last season.

10.03: Drew Rasmussen (SP – TB)

Drew Rasmussen doesn’t have great strikeout stuff, but he’s been a consistent, steady option, posting an ERA of 2.84 or better since 2021.

11.08: Anthony Santander (OF – TOR)

Anthony Santander dealt with a bunch of injuries last season. When healthy, he should be a candidate for 30+ home runs and around 90 RBI.

12.03: Samuel Basallo (C – BAL)

I probably should’ve waited a bit and punted catcher, but Samuel Basallo signed a big extension with the Orioles, and I’ll be banking on some pop in his bat.

13.08: Gerrit Cole (SP – NYY)

My volatile picks continue as I take Gerrit Cole, who missed all of last season after undergoing Tommy John surgery.

14.03: Ernie Clement (1B/2B/3B/SS – TOR)

With my current lineup, I could slot Ernie Clement at second base. He’s got double-digit home run potential and should post a decent batting average.

15.08: Anthony Volpe (SS – NYY)

I needed a shortstop, and Anthony Volpe has 20-20 potential.

16.03: Brooks Lee (2B/3B/SS – MIN)

Brooks Lee can fill multiple spots and has 20+ run potential.

17.08: Zach McKinstry (3B/SS/OF – DET)

Another player who can fill multiple roles, Zach McKinstry will help in the stolen bases department.

Draft Wizard Insights

Draft Wizzard gave my draft a B grade (86/100), which is fair. Something that would’ve made sense is taking Corey Seager at 4.03 instead of Kyle Bradish.
