NBA DraftKings & FanDuel DFS Primer
NBA DFS Core Plays
- DraftKings: $10,300
- FanDuel: $11,000
Tyrese Maxey has been his usual aggressive self over his last six games, posting a 35% usage rate while averaging 30 points, five rebounds, seven assists, 2.7 steals and one block across 35.3 minutes per game. He has been a driving force for the Philadelphia 76ers’ offense, especially with Joel Embiid (oblique) sidelined, taking on a larger scoring and playmaking role.
Maxey also draws a favorable matchup against the Utah Jazz, who have allowed the sixth-most fantasy points to opposing point guards over their last seven games. With his heavy workload and ability to contribute across multiple categories, Maxey offers both a high floor and significant upside in a strong game environment.
- DraftKings: $10,500
- FanDuel: $10,900
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander did not play in Tuesday’s 116-108 win over the Chicago Bulls due to abdominal strain injury management, but he has a strong chance to return on Wednesday.
Gilgeous-Alexander has appeared in two games since returning from an extended absence caused by the injury and hasn’t missed a beat, averaging 31.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, seven assists, three steals and one block in 33 minutes. His ability to contribute across the board while maintaining elite scoring production keeps his fantasy ceiling among the highest on any slate.
Although the matchup against the New York Knicks is a challenging one on paper, given their strong defense, Gilgeous-Alexander remains one of the league’s most matchup-proof stars. The Oklahoma City Thunder will likely lean heavily on him offensively, and his high usage and consistent production make him a strong option even in a tougher game environment.

NBA DFS Cash Game Targets
- DraftKings: $7,400
- FanDuel: $7,700
Donovan Clingan has been terrific over his last six games, averaging 15.7 points, 13.2 rebounds, four assists and 1.8 blocks in 28.9 minutes. He has consistently controlled the glass during that stretch, recording frequent double-doubles while providing strong defensive production, giving him both a reliable floor and plenty of upside.
Clingan draws an appealing matchup against the Utah Jazz, who have allowed the fifth-most rebounds to opposing centers over their last seven games. He has also found success in this matchup already, averaging 13.3 points, 14 rebounds, 4.3 assists and three blocks in three meetings versus Utah this season. Given his recent form and dominance on the boards, Clingan is well-positioned for another productive outing.
- DraftKings: $6,300
- FanDuel: $6,000
Ace Bailey has been one of the more consistent options for the Utah Jazz over their last 11 games, averaging 15.5 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.1 steals in 33.1 minutes. As the season has progressed, he has taken on a larger offensive role, highlighted by a 24.7% usage rate over his last three games — the third-highest mark on the team. The increased involvement has allowed him to provide a steady scoring presence while continuing to contribute on the glass and defensively.
Bailey also finds himself in a favorable situation against the Philadelphia 76ers, who are dealing with multiple injuries. The matchup comes in the highest-total game on the slate, creating additional opportunities for fantasy production. With his secure role and rising usage, Bailey offers a solid combination of floor and upside in an appealing game environment.

NBA DFS GPP Targets
- DraftKings: $7,700
- FanDuel: $8,100
Keyonte George played his second game back from an ankle sprain in Monday’s loss to the Denver Nuggets. He looked fantastic. George logged 30 minutes and erupted for 36 points while adding two rebounds, two assists and four steals, showing no signs of limitation while stepping right back into a significant offensive role. His aggressive scoring mentality and ability to generate defensive stats give him plenty of upside when he’s handling a full workload.
After getting a day of rest on Tuesday, George returns to action on Wednesday in the game with the highest total on the slate. With his minutes already back near normal and his role clearly intact, he should once again be heavily involved offensively and has a strong chance to deliver another productive outing.
- DraftKings: $5,900
- FanDuel: $6,300
Kelly Oubre Jr. missed Tuesday’s 131-91 loss to the San Antonio Spurs due to an illness, and his status for Wednesday remains uncertain. If he’s cleared to play, he profiles as an appealing tournament option given his scoring ability and volatile production. Oubre can take on a sizable offensive role when given the opportunity, which gives him plenty of upside relative to his salary.
VJ Edgecombe exited Tuesday’s contest with a lower back injury and could be at risk of missing Wednesday’s game, which would open the door for increased usage for Oubre if he’s active. Keeping a close eye on the Philadelphia 76ers’ injury report will be important, as multiple absences would create additional value. If both players are sidelined, options like Quentin Grimes, Jabari Walker and Justin Edwards would become increasingly appealing as salary-saving targets.

NBA DFS Value Plays
- DraftKings: $4,900
- FanDuel: $4,900
The Memphis Grizzlies played on Tuesday against the Minnesota Timberwolves, so it wouldn’t be surprising if Memphis elected to rest a few key players on the second night of a back-to-back. If that happens, players like Ty Jerome and Scotty Pippen Jr. could be candidates to sit, which would open up significant minutes and usage across the rotation. That scenario would create an opportunity for Jaylen Wells to take on a larger role offensively.
Wells has quietly been productive, leading Memphis in scoring over the last three games with 16.3 points per contest while ranking fourth on the team with a 20.5% usage rate. If both Pippen and Jerome are sidelined — Memphis’ top two players in usage — Wells would be in line for even more opportunities with the ball in his hands. He has put together a strong second half of the season and stands out as a solid value option at his price point, especially if one or both guards are held out.
- DraftKings: $4,800
- FanDuel: $4,600
Walter Clayton Jr. is someone who could take advantage of increased opportunities if the Memphis Grizzlies elect to rest players on the second leg of a back-to-back. Additional absences in the backcourt would open up more ball-handling duties and minutes, putting Clayton in a strong position to exceed value.
Whether starting or coming off the bench, Clayton has looked solid over his last six games, averaging 8.2 points, 1.8 rebounds, 7.2 assists and 1.2 steals. His playmaking has been particularly encouraging, giving him a stable floor if he continues to see consistent run.
Clayton also benefits from playing in a game with the second-highest total on the slate (237.5 points), which creates an appealing environment for fantasy production.
