Pippen will sit out the Memphis Grizzlies first game of a back-to-back, with his next opportunity to play on Saturday against the Miami Heat. With him, Cedric Coward (knee) and Ty Jerome (calf) sidelined, Cam Spencer, Jahmai Mashack and Jaylen Wells are all candidates for heavy minutes, especially if Walter Clayton (calf), listed as doubtful, is unable to play.
