Malachi Fields is heading to the Giants via the third round of the NFL Draft. He might have trouble getting on the field during this rookie season with Darnell Mooney, Darius Slayton, and likely Calvin Austin above him on the depth chart. Fields is a field stretcher that I don’t think profiles as a high-end target earner in the NFL. Over the last two collegiate seasons, he ranked 80th and 116th in yards per route run while finishing with a 70th percentile collegiate breakout age. Fields is an early third-round pick in dynasty rookie drafts.
CJ Daniels tumbled to the sixth round of the NFL Draft before getting scooped up by the Rams. Daniels has some of the most insane body control you’ll ever see on film, but there are limitations to his game with his athleticism and ability to threaten a defense deep. He’s a last-round dart/taxi squad option only. I’ll snag him in a few leagues.
