Tuesday’s Starting Pitcher Rankings (5/26)

Chase Burns (SP – CIN) at New York Mets

Chase Burns has been dominant this season. According to FanGraphs, he’s posted the following numbers in 10 starts spanning 59 innings:

  • 6 wins
  • 7 quality starts
  • 1.83 ERA
  • 2.85 xERA
  • 3.14 xFIP
  • 3.23 SIERA
  • 0.95 WHIP
  • 7.9% walk rate
  • 28.2% strikeout rate
  • 15.6% SwStr%
  • 29% CSW%
  • 112 stuff+
  • 102 location+
  • 115 pitching+

The 23-year-old righty has a plus-matchup tonight. The Mets are tied for 29th in wRC+ (85) with a 21.3% strikeout rate versus righties and 25th in wRC+ (94) with a 21.2% strikeout rate at home in 2026.

Burns is equipped to tie up the Mets and is the top pitcher in all game types at both DFS platforms tonight.

Joe Ryan (SP – MIN) at Chicago White Sox

Joe Ryan has been dialed in. In his previous five starts spanning 24.1 innings, Ryan has tallied the following stats:

  • 1 win
  • 4 quality starts
  • 1.85 ERA
  • 2.72 xERA
  • 3.01 xFIP
  • 2.89 SIERA
  • 0.90 WHIP
  • 6.5% walk rate
  • 30.1% strikeout rate
  • 11.9% SwStr%
  • 30.5% CSW%
  • 109 stuff+
  • 105 location+
  • 107 pitching+

Ryan’s matchup is mixed, and his betting info is decent. The White Sox are tied for 16th in wRC+ (98) versus righties and tied for eighth in wRC+ (110) at home this year. However, they also have a 24.4% strikeout rate versus righties and a 22.4% strikeout rate at home.

In addition, Chicago is tied for 22nd in wRC+ (87) with a 25.2% strikeout rate in the previous 30 days. The Twins are slight favorites (-118), and the game’s total is a pitcher-friendly 7.5 runs.

Kyle Harrison (SP – MIL) vs. St. Louis Cardinals

Kyle Harrison is having a full-blown breakout season. In nine starts spanning 45.2 innings in 2026, he’s whipped up the following numbers:

  • 5 wins
  • 3 quality starts
  • 1.77 ERA
  • 2.90 xERA
  • 2.89 xFIP
  • 2.83 SIERA
  • 1.07 WHIP
  • 7.7% walk rate
  • 32.2% strikeout rate
  • 14.6% SwStr%
  • 30.8% CSW%
  • 106 stuff+
  • 115 location+
  • 116 pitching+

Harrison’s matchup isn’t great, but it’s not horrible, either. The Cardinals are 14th in wRC+ (103) with a 17.6% strikeout rate versus lefties and sixth in wRC+ (106) with a 22.5% strikeout rate on the road this season.

The Red Birds are in a funk, though, ranking tied for 22nd in wRC+ (87) with a 25.9% strikeout rate in the previous 30 days. Harrison’s betting info is excellent, with the Brewers -170 favorites, and the game’s total eight runs.

Suggested Lineup Stacks

Luis Severino has been battered to the tune of a 5.91 ERA, 4.41 xFIP and 1.52 WHIP in 106.2 innings at his hitter-friendly home ballpark since last year.

The Athletics have some soft spots in their lineup. However, it also features four players with at least a 121 wRC+ against righties since 2024, and another with a 106 wRC+.

Meanwhile, Emerson Hancock is pedestrian on the road, with a 4.42 ERA, 4.55 xFIP and 1.35 WHIP in 71.1 innings since last season.

Core Studs

  • Nick Kurtz has belted 34 bombs with a .454 on-base percentage (OBP), .339 ISO, .470 wOBA and 204 wRC+ in 501 plate appearances against righties since debuting in the Majors last year.
