Welcome to our weekly fantasy baseball risers and fallers column. In this article, I’ll provide three risers and three fallers based on what has transpired in the previous week.
Given that we’re a few months into the season, there are more options to choose from. We now know how managers are deploying their players, with some surprisingly receiving less playing time than initially expected. We also have a few young hitters who are making their presence felt immediately.
Without further ado, let’s find out who this week’s biggest risers and fallers are.

Fantasy Baseball Risers & Fallers
Fantasy Baseball Risers
Tyler Soderstrom (1B, OF – ATH)
Tyler Soderstrom has an underwhelming slash line of .226/.315/.425 with seven home runs in 241 plate appearances. It’s been a disappointing start to the season for a hitter who broke out with a 125 wRC+ last season.
However, in the last 14 days, Soderstrom is slashing .381/.480/.643 with two home runs in 50 plate appearances. He’s starting to find his groove, making him one of the biggest risers right now. There’s still time to buy low.
Bryce Eldridge (1B, DH – SFG)
The Giants foolishly gave sporadic playing time to Bryce Eldridge after calling him up. That prevented the young slugger from getting into any type of groove.
But Eldridge is finally getting more playing time, and we’re starting to see positive results, including a .343/.415/.629 slash with one home run in 41 plate appearances. There’s a lot of power upside here, so don’t underestimate Eldridge.
Michael Harris II (OF – ATL)
Michael Harris II continues to put it all together. Not only is he slashing .303/.339/.526 with 13 home runs in 221 plate appearances, but he’s also tearing it up lately.
In the last 14 days, Harris has a .353/.400/.627 slash with four home runs in 55 plate appearances. After a couple of inconsistent seasons, Harris is finally on track. Enjoy the ride.
Fantasy Baseball Fallers
Bo Bichette (3B, SS – NYM)
It’s been a disastrous season for Bo Bichette in his first year with the Mets. He’s currently slashing .213/.271/.299 with five home runs in 266 plate appearances.
In the last 14 days, Bichette has a 26 wRC+ in 53 plate appearances. While I’m expecting Bichette to eventually get on track, it’s looking like a lost season for him.
Don’t value Bichette based on what he’s done in the past. This looks like the classic case of a player getting a big payday and struggling in Year 1 of a new contract.
Brent Rooker (OF – ATH)
Brent Rooker hasn’t been able to find his groove since returning from injury. In the last 14 days, Rooker is slashing .179/.256/.282 with one home run in 43 plate appearances.
With that said, I’m not too worried here, as there’s enough of a strong track record coupled with a favorable team context in a hitter’s park to trust that Rooker will get it rolling.
Wilyer Abreu (OF – BOS)
Wilyer Abreu is having a disappointing season, slashing .280/.344/.422. While the batting average has been great, the lack of power has been underwhelming.
Hopefully, Abreu can build off his home run on Wednesday to start a power binge.
