Closer News & Notes
- Cade Smith maintains the lead in the Majors with 24 saves. He blew a save on Wednesday; his last save was on June 18th.
- Mason Miller, Bryan Baker and Jhoan Duran follow as the other closers with 20+ saves on the season.
- Duran and Louis Varland have been two of the top closers in June.
- After a rough stretch early in June, Andres Munoz has logged saves in five straight appearances from June 16th through June 26th.
- Aroldis Chapman has been limited to five appearances in June due to a hamstring injury. He is healthy now and remains the top closer to monitor heading into the trade deadline.
- Caleb Kilian blew a save on Thursday, while Seranthony Dominguez has blown saves in his past two appearances. Both remain in closer situations to monitor.
