Welcome back to the latest edition of our weekly fantasy baseball Closer Report. We are heading into the first week of July with the trade deadline just over one month away.

This next month is the period when we will get a better idea of which teams are buying and which are selling. We will continue to see many relievers on the move in that span, as we see every year, both closers and middle relievers.

Closer News & Notes

  • Cade Smith maintains the lead in the Majors with 24 saves. He blew a save on Wednesday; his last save was on June 18th.
  • Mason Miller, Bryan Baker and Jhoan Duran follow as the other closers with 20+ saves on the season.
  • Duran and Louis Varland have been two of the top closers in June.
  • After a rough stretch early in June, Andres Munoz has logged saves in five straight appearances from June 16th through June 26th.
  • Aroldis Chapman has been limited to five appearances in June due to a hamstring injury. He is healthy now and remains the top closer to monitor heading into the trade deadline.
  • Caleb Kilian blew a save on Thursday, while Seranthony Dominguez has blown saves in his past two appearances. Both remain in closer situations to monitor.
