Best Fantasy Football Team Names of 2026
Before getting into the best fantasy football team names for 2026, here are some of my favorites from last year:

Love Island
Alright, I made this one up myself. Draft Jeremiyah Love, Jordan Love and Colston Loveland. Name your team “Love Island” after the popular reality show.
Silence of the Lamb
This is a basic one you’ve probably already heard of before. Take CeeDee Lamb and name your team after the popular movie starring legendary actor Anthony Hopkins.
Bijan Mustard
Another generic one that is pretty popular. I’ve named my fantasy team this a couple of times when drafting Bijan Robinson. As if you need another excuse to draft the Falcons superstar running back. He’s my 1.01 this year.
Country Roads, Take Mahomes
Hang on. Are you telling me we can name our fantasy football team after one of the best songs of all time after we take one of the best quarterbacks of all time? Sign me up.
All Throws Lead to Rome
Love this one. A play on the phrase, “All roads lead to Rome,” this references your Rome Odunze team. He’s an undervalued wideout in an ascending offense. You’ll want to take Odunze.
Purdy Fly For A White Guy
Popular song in the ’90s by The Offspring. Catchy tune that you can play while Brock Purdy has a spike week, probably against the Cardinals at home.
Beast of Burden
This is a reference to a song by The Rolling Stones. It also highlights how Luther Burden III is going to be an absolute beast this season. Don’t be afraid, buy into the hype. He’s a stud in a great situation.
The Mendoza Line
The Mendoza Line is what we refer to as a .200 batting average. When you’re below that, you’re below the Mendoza Line. It can be a play on words with “line” as in “lineup” and Fernando Mendoza as in the Raiders’ next superstar quarterback.
Buck a Shough
I love oysters, especially when they’re “buck a shuck,” meaning they cost $1 each. I also love what Kellen Moore is doing with Tyler Shough and the Saints offense. They’re worth buying into.
KC and the Sunshine Band
KC and the Sunshine Band is a popular group from the ’80s, known for songs like “That’s the Way (I Like It).” You can take KC Concepcion to make this name work.
