Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis, Missouri, is set to play host to the 2026 BMW Championship this week. Only the top 50 golfers in the FedExCup standings advanced from the FedEx St. Jude Championship on Sunday, with World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler cruising to an eight-stroke win (-17) entering this second playoff event.
Bellerive is a lengthy par 70 that runs roughly 7,450 yards. It has new bentgrass greens running a customary 12.5 feet via Stimpmeter, along with four-inch fescue rough that will punish bombers who don’t have accuracy under control.
No cut line is enforced in St. Louis this weekend. However, only the top-30 ranked golfers in the FedExCup standings after Sunday’s final round will advance to the TOUR Championship finale. As a result of this condensed field, salaries are a bit lower than normal for some of the PGA Tour’s top talent, creating high-value opportunities.
My PGA DFS Lineup Advice: Top Golfers (2026 FedEx St. Jude Championship) picks had a strong result at TPC Southwind on Sunday. Tommy Fleetwood (T7) and Sam Burns (T3) both returned value from Tier 1. In Tier 2, Viktor Hovland (T19) and Russell Henley (T30) had a mixed result, while Tier 3 saw Sungjae Im (T5) boost lineups into the green. Jordan Smith’s T55 finish kept us from a bigger payday.
I’ve found six golfers to deploy in DraftKings DFS lineups at the 2026 BMW Championship ahead of Round 1 on Thursday. Follow me on X at Matt_MacKay_ for more PGA DFS picks and insights throughout the final two legs of the 2026 FedExCup Playoffs.

DK $ |
| Tommy Fleetwood | $10,900 |
| Ludvig Åberg | $9,700 |
I’m running right back to Tommy Fleetwood as our starting point this week. He went bogey-free in his second round at TPC Southwind, while his strong start kept him inside the top 10 with a less-than-stellar finish.
Fleetwood’s notable ranks include 18th in total driving, including top-10 fairway accuracy, second in scrambling, and 14th in putts per round. Top 20 finishes in seven straight events.
Ludvig Åberg has been churning out production lately, stringing together a pair of top 10 finishes at The Open Championship and FedEx St. Jude Championship. The Swede ranks sixth in total strokes gained in 2026.
Åberg’s notable metrics include 15th in SG: Off-the-Tee, including sixth in total driving, 17th in SG: Approach, and 14th for greens in regulation hit at 70.03 percent. Also sits 13th in proximity and 24th in putting average.

DK $ |
| Viktor Hovland | $8,800 |
| Kurt Kitayama | $7,900 |
I’ll continue to play with fire and back Viktor Hovland in Tier 2. The Norwegian has flashes of brilliance, followed by bogey slumps. His T19 finish in Memphis should’ve been much better.
Hovland ranks 24th in total driving, 14th in SG: Approach, 21st in putts per round, and 26th in driving accuracy this season. Three top 20s, including a playoff win over Scheffler, across Hovland’s last four starts.
Kurt Kitayama is an appealing play at a long course like Bellerive. He’s coming off a T12 at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, firing 66 or lower in two rounds.
Kitayama’s driver is a weapon. He’s ranked 14th in total driving, 10th in SG: Approach, 19th in finding greens in regulation, and sand save rate, while also 21st in 200+ yard approach shots. It’s why Kitayama is a top-20 player for par 4 scoring.
TIER 3
Golfer |
DK $ |
| Gary Woodland | $6,600 |
| Nico Echavarria | $6,100 |
I’m going to roll with Gary Woodland to start Tier 3. The veteran is the definition of a bomber, while also ranked high in 200+ yard approach shots (24th) and par 4 scoring (3.98) this season.
Woodland won the Houston Open and has four other top 10 finishes in 2026. He didn’t have his best stuff in Memphis (T42) on Sunday, although Woodland did open with a 66.
This is my first time plugging Nico Echavarria into lineups this season. The Colombian golfer had an exciting comeback to win the Cognizant Classic in March.
Echavarria has struggled since that win, although he’s trending up with consecutive T12 finishes. Ranks 39th in putts per round and 60th in driving accuracy, placing Echavarria at 50th in par 4 scoring this year.
