The 2026 FedExCup Playoffs tee off from TPC Southwind this week at the FedEx St. Jude Championship. 69 of the top-ranked golfers on the PGA Tour will compete at the first of three playoff events in Memphis, Tennessee, without starting strokes or a cut line.
TPC Southwind is a par 70 that runs just shy of 7,300 yards. Water hazards, small TifEagle Bermudagrass greens (4,500 square feet average) that run a customary 12.5 feet via Stimpmeter, and three-inch rough comprise the most notable features and hazards at this course. Temperatures will be above 90 degrees, with only the top 50 golfers in the FedExCup rankings advancing to the BMW Championship.
My PGA DFS Lineup Advice: Top Golfers (2026 Wyndham Championship) had a strong showing from half of my recommended players. Both Tier 1 prospects, Hideki Matsuyama and Tom Kim, carded T5 and T7 finishes. Doug Ghim also carded a T19 finish from Tier 2, while Eric Cole logged a T29 finish from Tier 3. Brian Harman (Tier 2) and Blades Brown (Tier 3) both missed the cut.

Last year’s FedExCup winner, Tommy Fleetwood, is where we’re starting our lineup. The Englishman has gone T4-T11-T11-T14-T13-T4 in his past six events, so we should get a high floor with Fleetwood in Memphis this week.
Fleetwood ranks third in total strokes gained, including 20th in total driving, 12th in driving accuracy, third in scrambling, and 17th in putts per round in 2026. He also has a pair of T3 finishes at TPC Southwind in his last three appearances.
Sam Burns is equally as hot as Fleetwood. He’s gone 2-T12-3 across three previous events, taking a month off to prepare for the FedEx St. Jude Championship.
Burns’ putting is among the best on the PGA Tour. He ranks third in SG: Putting, 31st in proximity, 34th for greens in regulation (69.2%), and 23rd in driving distance. Burns has gone T5-T28 in his previous two trips at this playoff event.

Russell Henley is typically a top-20 machine. The Georgia native has gone T12-T9-T20 in his last three starts.
Henley is ranked 18th in total strokes gained this season. This includes 14th in SG: Putting, second in driving accuracy, ninth in scrambling, and sixth in par-4 scoring. T6-T30-T17 in past three trips to the FedEx St. Jude Championship.
Next, we’re going to roll a volatile player into our lineups, inserting Viktor Hovland at $8.4K. He’s gone 3-MC-1-T13-MC in his last five starts, so there’s certainly a risk involved here.
The Norwegian ranks 18th in SG: Approach in 2026. He’s also 27th in total driving, 22nd in putts per round, and top-20 for birdie average this season. T13-T2-T32 in past three appearances at TPC Southwind.

Sungjae Im has been trending up lately, securing three T15 finishes across his previous four events played. The South Korean golfer ranks 36th in SG: Putting, including sixth in putts per round and one-putt rate.
Im has fared well in Memphis. He’s gone T16-12-T6-T40-T17 in his last five starts at TPC Southwind. At under $7K this week, Im is a strong Tier 3 anchor.
I’ll close out with Jordan Smith in the same salary range. The Englishman has logged a top 20 finish in two of his last four events, while ranked 16th in SG: Off-the-Tee and 37th in SG: Approach.
Smith leads the PGA Tour in total driving. He’s also third for greens in regulation (71.7%), which is why he’s top-25 in scoring average and par-4 scoring in 2026. Putting is the glaring weakness (SG: Putting 117), but tee-to-green is sharp enough to warrant a spot in lineups from Tier 3.
