Replacements Fantasy, where passive fantasy football transforms into active.
Tired of injury luck ruining your fantasy week? Or even your season? Replacements Fantasy allows fantasy managers to make real-time substitutions (or auto-subs if needed) to help address this considerable pain point.
Fantasy football is one of the most engaging forms of entertainment on the planet. For some fantasy football managers, it is a week-long affair to assess player performance, injury updates, depth chart changes, target/touch breakdowns, and to finalize lineups. However, for most, after 1 pm on Sunday, it becomes a passive activity where we sit back and watch, only tinkering with lineups further if we have a surprise inactive. What if fantasy football could become more active? Welcome to Replacements Fantasy.

Replacements – A Brand New Way to Play Fantasy Football
Replacements Fantasy is a fun new platform that allows fantasy managers to make real-time substitutions during the game to optimize their scoring. Here’s how it works.
For four days a week, Replacements Fantasy operates like any other fantasy football platform. However, on game day, more specifically, during the games, it transforms. Now this is far from ‘manual best ball’ where you just slot your highest-scoring players into your lineup throughout the day. However, it does allow you to rescue standout performers you unfortunately left on your bench or to eliminate bad injury luck on game day.
The threshold is something that is simple in concept but innovative in practice. You cannot simply replace starters who were outperformed by their bench counterparts. That’s best ball. What you can do, however, is replace starters who underperformed or had bad injury luck. Conversely, you can also replace players who did well but were still far outproduced by bench players.
To replace a player, the player you wish to swap into the lineup must have scored a minimum of 1.6x what the starter did. For that starter to come back in the game, the smae logic applies: they must now score 1.6x more than the now active bench player.
Out-of-position swaps are possible (and encouraged), but are subject to a penalty depending on cross-positional alignment. For example, you can move your TE to WR with a small impact; however, splitting out your QB to WR for the Philly Special will take a bigger hit.
Replacements Fantasy has even gone as far as to reimagine defensive scoring for the D/ST position. New weights have been assigned to tackles, sacks, picks, pressures, forced fumbles, fumble recoveries, and defensive touchdowns. All in an effort to make every position matter as much as the others. They call this Full Impact.
In addition to weekly FAAB claims, you can now use FAAB to create parity in trades. No more trying to figure out which two players on your team are equal to two players from your trading partner. Use FAAB to settle the difference.
To summarize, the reimagining of FAAB, termed One FAAB, allows managers to sweeten the deal for trades; allows managers to make in-game waiver wire substitutions (bench subs do not cost FAAB); and allows managers to make traditional FAAB claims.
All in all, Replacements Fantasy is an innovative new approach to season long fantasy football that helps make game day fantasy football management more of an active practice, helps to reduce the impact of bad injury luck, and creates a more competitive league where the group chat stays active for the entire season.
