In some dynasty fantasy football leagues, there are options to draft the “talent of tomorrow,” also known as devy or developmental players. Top 20 Devy Fantasy Football Rankings
Here are my top 20 devy fantasy football players as of August 2026.
Top 10
1. Jeremiah Smith (WR – Ohio State)
There are very few wide receivers I can remember in recent memory with a stock as high as Jeremiah Smith’s. Across two seasons in college football, he had 163 catches for 2,558 yards and 27 touchdowns.
2. Malachi Toney (WR – Miami)
As a freshman, Malachi Toney was unbelievable for Miami. He caught 109 passes for 1,211 yards and 10 touchdowns. He also handled 23 carries for 113 yards and a touchdown. That type of production out of the gate is unheard of.
3. Arch Manning (QB – Texas)
Arch Manning certainly needs a strong bounce-back after completing just 61.4% of his passes for 3,163 yards, 26 touchdowns and seven interceptions, but the “Manning” name carries pedigree.
We did see Manning perform better as the season went on, with seven touchdowns and zero interceptions over his last three games, including a Citrus Bowl win over Michigan.
4. Jadan Baugh (RB – Florida)
Jadan Baugh has averaged 5.2 yards per carry across 353 career college carries. He’s listed at 6-foot-1 and nearly 230 pounds, which is simply unheard of for most running backs.
5. Cam Coleman (WR – Texas)
Cam Coleman has played well at Auburn over his first two college football seasons. The 6-foot-3 receiver now has Arch Manning throwing him passes. The sky is the limit.
6. Dante Moore (QB – Oregon)
Dante Moore had a really quality season last year with Oregon, completing 71.8% of his passes for 3,565 yards, 30 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.
In reality, Moore should’ve been the No. 2 overall pick by the New York Jets in the 2026 NFL Draft, but he opted to go back to school. He’s accurate, but his arm strength is limiting.
7. Kewan Lacy (RB – Ole Miss)
Kewan Lacy is explosive, running 306 times for 1,567 yards and 24 touchdowns last season for Ole Miss. He can make opposing defenders miss tackles, but he does need to work on some pass protection stuff to get him on the field more on third downs.
8. Chris Henry Jr. (WR – Ohio State)
With Jeremiah Smith leaving after this upcoming season, the Buckeyes will have another new, fresh face at wide receiver in Chris Henry Jr.
A five-star commit, Henry is listed at 6-foot-5, and he’ll only add more weight as he ages. This is a big-time projection, but as the son of the late Chris Henry, I feel confident in his abilities.
9. KJ Duff (WR – Rutgers)
KJ Duff was outstanding for Rutgers last season, catching 60 passes for 1,084 yards and seven touchdowns. I’m most intrigued by his size — 6-foot-6 and 219 pounds.
10. Ahmad Hardy (RB – Missouri)
Ahmad Hardy has been a fantastic college football player since he arrived at Louisiana-Monroe in 2024. Last season for Missouri, he ran 256 times for 1,649 yards and 16 touchdowns, while averaging 6.4 yards per carry.
Of course, there’s an elephant in the room. As a bystander at a concert, Hardy was shot in the leg back in May. He’s been cleared, but that’ll be something to keep an eye on.
