Tyler Glasnow - When shopping at the backend of the pitching pool, one name stands out as an explosive sleeper ace. Glasnow will strikeout over 200 batters in 2018 with an ERA under 3.50. Don't wait to see it on the field as it will be too late to add him into your championship roster. -Shawn Childs

Most people would take Trea Turner, Billy Hamilton or Dee Gordon to have the most steals but it will be DeShields. The Rangers outfielder played 120 games last season and stole 29 bases in 37 attempts. For his career, he's 62-for-81. He's going to hit lead off and run wild. -Adam Ronis

Gerrit Cole (SP - NYY) - Gerrit Cole traded to Astros
Fri, Jan 19
News Reaction on Gerrit Cole (SP - NYY) - Gerrit Cole traded to Astros
The initial reaction for most would seem to say the trade hurts the Fantasy value of Cole since he's going from the National to American League. The gap between the two leagues in ERA was minimal in 2017 (4.37 compared to a 4.34 ERA in the National League). Cole was hurt by 31 home runs last season. He pitched 203 innings and had a 4.26 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and a 196:55 K:BB ratio. However, Cole only allowed 36 homers throughout his first four seasons. Expect a bounce-back season as the Astros SP3.
Andrew McCutchen (RF,DH - PIT) - Andrew McCutchen traded to Giants
Fri, Jan 19
News Reaction on Andrew McCutchen (RF,DH - PIT) - Andrew McCutchen traded to Giants
The Giants had one of the worst outfields and McCutchen is a huge upgrade. He's not the player he once was, but he bounced back in 2017 following one of the worst seasons of his career. McCutchen batted .279 with 94 runs, 28 home runs, 88 RBIs, 11 stolen bases and an .849 OPS. His durability is a huge asset as he has played at least 153 games in seven of his last eight seasons. His value largely depends on where he hits in the batting order. Regardless, this was a good trade for the Giants.
