Giants sign Korean infielder Jae-gyun Hwang

The San Francisco Giants have agreed to terms with Korean infielder Jae-gyun Hwang. He will earn $1.5 million if he makes the big league roster. (Andrew Baggarly on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
It's an interesting move for the Giants who haven't aggressively signed players from the Asian countries. Hwang had a career-year posting a .335/.394/.570 slash line and a career-high, 27 home runs and 25 stolen bases for the Lotte Giants in Korea. The team already has Eduardo Nunez and Conor Gillaspie at 3B, but Hwang could push Eduardo Nunez into a super-utility role similar to what he had in Minnesota if he impresses the team according to Baggarly.
