Cubs sign Chris Denorfia to one year deal

Chicago Cubs have signed outfielder Chis Denorfia to a one year deal worth over $2.6M with incentives. Denorfia is penciled in as the left field platoon partner with Chris Coghlan. (Jon Heyman on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
The right handed hitting Denorfia will have a part-time role for the Cubs, starting in left field whenever a southpaw is on the mound. Denorfia is a career .272 hitter, but when facing lefties his average jumps by 20 points. While Denorfia does not have much pop, he does possess a little speed as he has averaged over 10 steals in each of the last four seasons. Denorfia is not worth much in fantasy unless he can earn a full time role with Chicago.
