Jesse Biddle

Jesse Biddle looking good early in spring training

by Kerry Kauffman | Fri, Feb 27th 4:38pm EST

It has not been a smooth ride for the Phillies number one pick in the 2010 draft, but Jesse Biddle has looked strong in early spring training workouts. Biddle suffered from a concussion and pulled quad last season and finished with a 5.05 ERA at Double-A Reading. General manager Ruben Amaro Jr. is confident Biddle can overcome some issues and be a quality pitcher at the Major League level. (CSNPhilly.com)

Fantasy Impact:

Biddle was added to the Phillies' 40-man roster in November and likely will be back at Reading to start the season. Should he pitch well and progress to Triple-A Lehigh Valley, Biddle could possibly see time with the Phillies late in the season. But don't expect Biddle to be ready to contribute for at least another season.
