Cord Phelps makes case to claim roster spot

Cord Phelps, a non-roster invitee, has made the most of his opportunity this spring. He went 2-for-4 with a walk and a run scored in the Phillies' 7-6 loss to the Boston Red Sox on Sunday. Phelps is batting .345 in Grapefruit League play.
Fantasy Impact:
Phelps might not make the Phillies' roster, despite his strong performance. But he could open eyes around the league and land a spot as a backup infielder. In any event, Phelps likely will not earn enough playing time to be a significant fantasy contributor.
