Rangel Ravelo took Nick Ramirez deep in the sixth inning for a two run home run as the Cardinals beat the Tigers 12-2 in Game One on Thursday. Ravelo finished the game 2-2 with the home run, one single, three RBI, two runs scored and one walk. The Cardinals moved to 19-17 with the victory.
Fantasy Impact:
Ravelo is slashing .308/.333/.615 over his first 13 at-bats this season. He has shown power at the minor league level, hitting 12 home runs in 334 at-bats for the AAA Cardinals last season. While 13 at-bats is not a great sample size, Ravelo's hot start merits an addition to the watch list for owners in 12-team redraft leagues. With only two weeks left in the season anybody can get hot and provide value for fantasy owners.
