Paul Goldschmidt went 1-for-5 with a two-run dinger as the Cardinals beat the Padres 7-4 in Game 1 of their Wild Card series on Wednesday.

Goldy did all his damage in the first inning as he pulled a Chris Paddack offering, with Tommy Edman aboard, over the fence to put the Cards up 2-0.
