Justin Smoak is finalizing a deal with the Yomiuri Giants of the Nippon Professional Baseball league that "will guarantee him somewhere in the $6-7 million" range, per Jeff Passan of ESPN. (Jeff Passan on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Smoak had a rough 2020 season, posting a .176/.250/.361 batting line with five home runs and 15 RBI across 119 at-bats between the Brewers and the San Francisco Giants. It's not a bad deal with the 34-year-old who head to Japan to try and rejuvenate his career.
