Fantasy Impact
Odorizzi tossed 13 2/3 forgettable innings in 2020 but was excellent in 2019, pitching to a 3.51 ERA with 178 strikeouts over 159 innings for the Minnesota Twins. With Framber Valdez facing season-ending surgery for a fractured ring finger, the Astros had an obvious need in the rotation. Odorizzi will now slide in behind Zack Greinke and Lance McCullers, with Jose Urquidy, Cristian Javier, and Luis Garcia likely battling it out for two of the final three spots in the rotation.
