With a two-run lead in the ninth inning, the Rangers called on reliever Joely Rodriguez. He allowed just one hit and succeeded in his mission of closing out the game, earning the first save of his career.

Rodriguez has a 5.91 ERA, 1.31 WHIP, and .271 OBA over the course of 23 outings this year. He's walked just five batters while striking out 22. The southpaw, who had a 7.71 ERA less than three weeks ago, has since allowed zero runs and three hits over his last five innings of work.
