Jake Faria allows two runs over five innings in no-decision

by Jon Mathisen | Thu, Jul 8th 7:51pm EDT

RHP Jake Faria took a no-decision on Thursday when he allowed two runs on five hits with two walks and four strikeouts across five innings in the Diamondbacks' 9-3 loss to the Rockies.

Fantasy Impact:

Faria did a solid job holding down the Rockies' offense on Thursday. He had no troubles with the heart of the Colorado lineup, surprisingly, but gave up an RBI double to backup catcher Dom Nunez and an RBI single to pitcher Chi Chi Gonzalez. That's baseball for you. This is the deepest he's gone in any of his three starts this year and he was rewarded with a no-decision for his effort. The 27-year-old now owns a 4.76 ERA, 1.35 WHIP, and 15:5 K/BB ratio over 17 innings (six appearances, three starts).
