Jake Woodford holds Dodgers to one run in four innings of work on Thursday

by Lucas Spence | White Sox Correspondent | Thu, Sep 9th 10:46pm EDT

Jake Woodford pitched effectively over four innings on Thursday afternoon, limiting the Dodgers to three hits, a run, and two walks while striking out three in a no-decision.

Fantasy Impact:

A two-on, two-out RBI single by Trea Turner in the third inning was the only damage Woodford allowed. The 24-year-old owns a 4.28 ERA and 1.39 WHIP on the season, mostly out of the bullpen. With that said, he has not yet completed six innings in a start this season. He'll draw a start against the Mets next week and likely isn't stretched out enough to be considered a viable fantasy option.
