Martinez, 30, has spent all of his nine-year MLB career with the Cardinals. He went 4-9 with a shaky 6.23 ERA and 5.08 xFIP through 82.1 innings this past season before tearing a ligament in his thumb. He'll likely have to settle for a one-year prove-it deal this offseason.
