Eric Thames signs to a Minor League Deal with the A's

Susan Slusser of the SF Chronicle reports veteran 1B/OF Eric Thames is signing a Minor League deal with the Oakland A's. (Susan Slusser on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Thames only played 10 games in Japan in 2021 following a disappointing 2020 where he hit just .203 with 3 HR in 140 plate appearances. He doesn't figure to be very fantasy relevant in 2022 unless fellow 1B Matt Olson is traded.
