Carlos Martinez signs minor-league deal with the Red Sox

Fantasy Impact:
Martinez joined the Giants on a minor-league deal in Spring Training but was released on April 28th after informing the team he planned to opt out of his contract on May 1st. Even if Martinez makes it onto the Red Sox roster, he hasn't pitched well since 2019. Last year with the Cardinals, his ERA and K/9 were an identical 6.23 in 82 innings pitched.
