Yordan Alvarez being evaluated for concussion

by Kelly Kirby | Astros Correspondent | Thu, Jun 30th 9:02am EDT

The Houston Astros announced Wednesday night that Yordan Alvarez is being evaluated for a concussion, but he did fly back to Houston with the team. The team stated they would give an update at some point on Thursday, and we will have a better timetable then. (Chandler Rome on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

The 25-year-old was removed from the game against the Mets after a vicious collision with teammate Jeremy Pena in the outfield. Alvarez is having an MVP-caliber season, currently slashing .316/.412/.658 with 23 home runs and 56 RBI. Fantasy managers who roster him should plan to be without him for at least a few days.
