Tim Locastro homers, collects three hits in win Sunday

by Luke Monaldo | Padres Correspondent | Mon, Jul 18th 8:21am EDT

Tim Locastro went 3-for-5 with a home run, two runs scored, two RBI and two stolen bases in New York’s 13-2 win against the Red Sox on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact:

Locastro got the rare start Sunday for the resting Giancarlo Stanton and responded in a huge way. He hit his second homer of the season and stole his fifth and sixth bases of the season. Locastro had just been called up for the weekend series for outfield depth. He had been in Triple-A recovering from a lay injury and had been slashing .254/.325/.439 with two homers, 14 RBI, 20 runs scored and five stolen bases in his last 30 games down there. Locastro’s only path to playing time at the Major League-level is spot starts like Sunday’s but if he’s in the lineup he can be a low cost-high reward plug in for DFS lineups.
