In a move that is likely to open up a roster spot for the Dodgers, the Mariners have acquired Jake Lamb. The 31-year-old was mainly used as a platoon player while Chris Taylor was out, as he has hit .239 with two homers and four RBIs in 67 at-bats this season. The veteran will function as a bench bat for Seattle for the postseason push.
