Luis Castillo inks five-year extension with Seattle

The Seattle Mariners and Luis Castillo have agreed to a five-year, $108 million contract extension. The deal includes a sixth-year option that can take the value of the deal to $133 million. (Jeff Passan on Twitter )

Castillo was acquired at the trade deadline for a package of four prospects. The 29-year-old has posted a 2.83 ERA, .229 BAA, and a 10.67 K/9 ratio in nine games since the trade. This deal should keep Castillo as a top option for fantasy managers moving forward.
