Fantasy Impact:
Diaz has shown the ability to perform at high levels of the minors but never in MLB. In 343 career plate appearances, Diaz has a slash of .181/.227/.340 with 13 home runs. The Pirates have Ji-Man Choi pencilled in at 1B so it’s possible Diaz could battle Choi or even Miguel Andujar for playing time.
