Backstop Eric Fryer delivers in 5-3 Twins victory over Orioles
by Kevin McGuire | Wed, Jul 8th 7:50pm EDT
Catcher Eric Fryer, called up from Triple-A Rochester yesterday, got the start behind the dish for the Twins this afternoon and wasted no time helping his team to victory over the Orioles. The final score was 5-3 with Fryer getting two hits and two RBI in the win. Fryer joined the team in place of Chris Herrmann who was sent down to Rochester after posted a .154 batting average in 60 at bats.
Fantasy Impact:
Eric Fryer has no fantasy value at this time as he will remain the backup to Kurt Suzuki behind the plate for the time being.
