The groin injury cost Cortes Jr. World Baseball Classic participation and he's been labeled as the team's fifth starter to begin the season as he's behind other rotation members in camp. The southpaw dazzled to a stout 2.44 ERA across 28 starts with the Yankees last season, making his first career All-Star team in the process.
