Kyle Muller goes five strong on Opening Day

by Brenton Kemp | Athletics Correspondent | Fri, Mar 31st 9:25am EDT

Oakland A's starting pitcher Kyle Muller went five strong innings on Opening Day against the Los Angeles Angels.

Fantasy Impact:

Muller and the A's were in tough against Shohei Ohtani and the Angels but the big left-hander stood tall, throwing five innings of one-run ball with three strikeouts against just one walk. The 6-foot-7 25-year-old didn't factor into the decision but will remain a key piece of a bettered A's rotation. Muller, acquired from the Braves in the Sean Murphy trade this winter, posted an 8.03 ERA in three starts with the Braves last season but also worked to a 3.41 mark across 23 starts at the Triple-A level.
