Robbie Ray took the loss on Friday against the Guardians, allowing five runs (three earned) on four hits across 3 1/3 innings to go along with three strikeouts and five walks.
Fantasy Impact:
Despite a strong showing in spring training, Ray was unable to carry that over into Friday night. He struggled mightily with his command, which started with two walks in the first inning. He found himself in a bases loaded jam in the second inning with three runs scoring in the frame, but two of them were ruled unearned on a messy play where Teoscar Hernandez and Ray himself both committed errors on the same play. Ray will look to rebound in his next scheduled start at home against the Angels.
