Braxton Garrett allowed just two hits and one earned run over 5.1 innings pitched, while striking out seven batters and walking one in Wednesday's game against the Padres.

Despite the impressive performance, Garrett did not factor into the decision as the Marlins won 2-1. The outing lowered his season ERA to 4.22 with a 1.31 WHIP and a 4.50 strikeout-to-walk ratio over 10 games started.
