Edgar Olmos records his first career win for the Mariners
by Dan Schalk | Wed, Aug 26th 10:24am EDT
Edgar Olmos came on in relief of starter Mike Montgomery, and tossed 3.2 scoreless innings allowing three hits while striking out one batter. He earned his first career big-league win with the outing as the Mariners beat the A's 6-5.
Fantasy Impact:
Olmos had not pitched in the majors since a brief stay with the Marlins in 2013. Now with the Mariners, he has not allowed a run in four appearances in a total of 7.2 IP. The unknown Olmos is not worth a roster spot in any format, but it is good to see the 25-year-old pitcher perform well for his new club.
