Jonathan Aranda collects two hits Friday against Yankees
by Bruno Mulé | Rays Correspondent | Fri, Feb 21st 5:40pm EST
Jonathan Aranda went 2-for-3 with a pair of singles in Friday’s Grapefruit League contest against the Yankees.
Fantasy Impact:
Aranda got the start at second base, though he’s expected to see most of his playing time as a designated hitter if he makes the Opening Day roster. The 25-year-old posted a respectable .234/.308/.430 slash line over 143 plate appearances last season and could see an uptick in batting average with more regular at-bats. Additionally, the Rays’ temporary shift to an outdoor venue in 2025 may provide a slight boost to his power numbers.
