The Tigers acquired left-handed reliever Bailey Horn from the Cardinals on Thursday in exchange for cash, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports. (Chris MCCosky)
Fantasy Impact:
Horn was designated for assignment earlier in the day, but Detroit quickly moved to add the 27-year-old to its pitching depth. He struggled in his first taste of the majors with Boston last season, posting a 6.50 ERA and 1.78 WHIP across 18 innings, and his command issues have followed him into spring training with five walks in 2.1 frames. Horn will report to Triple-A to begin the season, but if he can improve his control, he could work his way into Detroit’s bullpen mix.
