Detroit Tigers

AL Central

Matthew Boyd and the Tigers will not hold their scheduled Monday match up against Boston, due to inclement weather. The two teams will make up Monday's game with a double-header on Tuesday. (Source: Anthony Fenech on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Boyd was slated to start two games this week and after this development, he may still get both starts in. Boyd will have to pitch a game in the double-header on Tuesday and if he does, he should be in line to start Sunday as well. Fantasy managers do need to monitor the situation in case a start gets pushed back.

Detroit Tigers utility man Gordon Beckham went 1-for-3 with a solo homer in a 4-3 win over the White Sox on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact: Beckham has three homers in just 32 at-bats on the season while filling in around the diamond for Detroit. He isn't on the radar in fantasy leagues.

Detroit Tigers DH Miguel Cabrera went 1-for-4 with an RBI in a 4-3 win over the White Sox on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact: Cabrera is hitting a respectable .267 but he hasn't shown much power this season. He has just three doubles and is still looking for his first home run.

Detroit Tigers outfielder Nicholas Castellanos went 1-for-4 with a double and two runs in a 4-3 win over the White Sox on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact: Still looking for his first homer of the season, Castellanos is now hitting .261 with a .722 OPS, 10 runs, and four RBI. He should find his power stroke as the season wears on.

Detroit Tigers outfielder Niko Goodrum went 1-for-4 with a double, an RBI, and a steal in a 4-3 win over the White Sox on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact: Goodrum is hitting .279 with two homers, eight runs, eight RBI, and two steals this season. The youngster has the potential to post double-digits in homers and steals this season.

Detroit Tigers second baseman Josh Harrison went 1-for-4 with a solo homer in a 7-3 loss to the White Sox on Friday.

Fantasy Impact: Harrison finally has his first home run of the season. It has been a slow start for Harrison, who's hitting just .129 with five runs, three RBI, and two steals.

Detroit Tigers right-hander Jordan Zimmermann didn't pitch well in a 7-3 loss to the White Sox on Friday. Zimmermann coughed up five runs in 6 1/3 innings of work while striking out four and walking four.

Detroit Tigers right-hander Tyson Ross allowed five runs (two earned) over six innings in a 9-7 win over the White Sox on Thursday. Ross struck out two and allowed seven hits.

Fantasy Impact: Ross was done no favors by his defense, which committed four errors in the game. That being said, he didn't help his own cause by serving up two homers in the start. Ross now has a 3.38 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, and 17 strikeouts in 24 innings. It's a nice comeback story after several injuries but his strikeout numbers are down from his heyday as a member of the Padres.

Christin Stewart has been placed on the IL for 10 days. Stewart strained his quad while running the bases during Wednesday's contest. Infielder Brandon Dixon has been recalled from Detroit's Triple-A affiliate. (Source: Detroit Tigers on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Stewart has been productive thus far in 2019. Currently, he sits at three home runs, 13 RBI and six runs scored. The Tigers feel that Stewart is only experiencing soreness and his stay on the IL will be the minimum. If you are looking at Brandon Dixon, his fantasy report rounds out with a career slash line of .178/.218/.356 in 74 games and 124 plate appearances.

Moore's injury does not seem to be serious, but he will require some rest. Lefty, Daniel Norris, will be in the rotation in Moore's place. Norris has pitched in two games and logged 5.1 innings, with a 5.06 ERA, along with a 1.50 WHIP.

The Tigers have placed Michael Fulmer (elbow) on the 60-day injured list. (Source: Evan Woodberry on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Fulmer underwent Tommy John surgery last week and is expected to miss the entire 2019 season plus the beginning of 2020. The 26-year-old hasn't been effective in recent seasons as he was when he won the Rookie of the Year award in 2016, but he would've been one of Detroit's best trade chips this summer.
