Kolek had a strong spring, posting a 2.60 ERA and 1.32 WHIP across 17.1 innings. However, the Padres opted for Kyle Hart and Randy Vasquez to fill the final two rotation spots. If Kolek performs well in the minors, he’ll likely be among the first starting pitchers called up.
