Davis Martin allows four runs, two homers in loss

White Sox starter Davis Martin (1-2) took the loss Thursday afternoon against the Athletics, surrendering four runs on eight hits over 5.1 innings. He walked one batter and struck out three. Three runs scored via homers by Lawrence Butler (solo) and JJ Bleday (two-run). Martin generated seven whiffs on 90 pitches (27% CSW).
