Matthew Liberatore's solid start falls short in loss to Mets

by Chris Schommer | Cardinals Correspondent | Sun, Apr 20th 8:14am EDT

Matthew Liberatore allowed two earned runs on six hits and one walk while striking out six over 6 2/3 innings in Saturday's loss to the Mets.

Fantasy Impact:

Liberatore has settled down after a rough start to the season on the mound, allowing two runs or less in each of his last two starts for the Cardinals. The left-hander should be monitored as a potential option for pitching-starved lineups for fantasy managers as the season continues. After today’s outing, Liberatore now has a 3.60 ERA and 1.00 WHIP to go with a 1-2 record across four starts this season.
