Tyler Mahle excellent in tough-luck loss

Tyler Mahle (3-1) took a tough-luck loss Thursday against the Athletics despite delivering a quality start. He allowed one run on five hits and one walk over six innings while striking out six. The only run came on a first-inning RBI single by Miguel Andujar. Mahle generated 10 swinging strikes on 90 pitches.
